April Ross

April Ross, a beach volleyball player in the US is part of a select set of females who've had medals won in several Olympics. Alix-Klineman will be competing with April Ross in Tokyo to win her third gold in the next few days. Ross's goal is to win her first Olympic Gold. With her age of 39, this may be Ross' last opportunity to claim an Olympic gold. She's certain that the top prizes can be achieved. Ross through NBC Boston, said that when the team performs very well, or even at all, they could win a gold. "I'm also going to try to have a bit of luck." Ross born in 1982 and was raised in Costa Mesa California with her sister and parents, began competing in athletics at Newport Harbor High school. She went on to compete in a myriad of activities in Newport Harbor High School. Apart from indoor volleyball, she ran track and basketball in her pre-college days. But she stood out at this level. As per her biography, during high school she played volleyball as an outside hitter (middle blocker) as well as a the setter (outside blocker). The award was presented to her as one of the Gatorade National Circle of Champions Player of the Year in 1999, for her performance. Also, in 2000 she was named Orange County Athlete of the Yr for volleyball. Ross has been working with Klineman from 2017. However, Ross's beach game was well-established long before the year. She has won major tournaments twice with different partners. The other is an iconic player in the volleyball world. Between 2007 and 2013 she was in a partnership by Jennifer Kessy, who is now her coach. Together with Kessy, Ross won an Olympic Title in 2009 when she competed in the international circuit. In 2012, the pair won silver at London's Olympic Games. Misty May Treanor and Kerri Jennings the legendary team which was the winners of the 2012 Olympics in London, beat each other to take home the gold. Ross was Walsh Jennings new partner after May-Treanor's departure. The duo won the bronze medal in beach volleyball at the Rio Olympics in 2016. Ross was a college player for USC Trojans before the start of her professional career. She played during high school, as well as some years before she hit the beaches as a professional. Ross had an impressive run in the NCAA tournament. Her freshman year in 2000 earned her the Pac-10 as well as NCAA Freshman of the Award and also be named an All-American. The Trojans had the chance to reach the Final Four with her help. Her heart was broken through a tragedy in her life during her sophomore year. However, she was able to make it an All-American in her second year. The last two years with the Trojans team they won success by winning two consecutive national championships. She was a fantastic volleyball player, winning the Honda Sports Award in 2003-04 as the most outstanding female volleyball player in the NCAA. Ross majored at USC in International Relations. Margie Ross didn't get to see Ross achieve beach volleyball's top level. Ross's mom died from cancer of the breast in the year 2001. Ross had just become an undergraduate student in the second year at USC. She continues to cherish her parents who passed away. Margie is a beach lover as well as in everyday life, continues to inspire her.
