Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton, who was born in Locust Ridge Tenn. on Jan. 19. 1946 to a low-income family, with twelve kids eventually included, discovered early that she could escape suffering through her creative mind. Before she could write or read, she composed her own music. When she was 8years old, she purchased the first electric guitar she owned and began to sing at the Knoxville Tenn Radio Station. In the following the year that Gold Band Records was a small independent record label. Although she became an established local celebrity while at the high school years, her ambitions were greater. After graduating from the high school in 1964, she moved straight to Nashville. Dumb Blonde was her first single to reach the top of the charts at the top of Monument Records. Porter Wagoner, a syndicated television show host in the late '60s, was looking for a girl to sing for his program. Parton signed with RCA Records and then joined the Grand Ole Opry. She accepted her job in 1967. Parton left the show however, in 1974 because her solo albums such as Joshua Coat Of Many Colors and Jolene outsold their collaborations. Parton wrote I Will Always Love You in honor of Wagoner following their split. It made it to No. The song of Parton in 1974."I Will Always Love You" climbed to No.
