Lucy-Liu

Lucy Liu was born in the US. She is an American actor, singer as well as a voice actress. An attractive and intelligent actor, she is an example to many Asian actors who aspire to make it big in Hollywood. Her initial success was enhanced when she appeared in a few popular series. There, she portrayed the villainous Ling Woo. She translated her unexpected popularity into big screen roles in movies like Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. She then delivered a superb performance in the role of Japanese criminal lord O'Ren Ishii, in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. In this period she was the main character in several flops on the box-office such as Rise: Blood Hunter. Then, she was able to sing prominent characters for animated films like Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason's role on Cashmere Mafia, a small screen film, failed to bring about the results. Southland's critically acclaimed police series, Southland and a recurring performance helped Liu to reestablish herself the status of an established actor. Liu is very careful in choosing her roles so that she does not become typecast within a highly competition-driven industry. Although she is very proud of her ethnicity however, she is not letting it limit her imagination.
